This headphone is a wired monitor headphone by the longstanding audio equipment manufacturer "audio-technica". It's a core model in their "M Series" of monitor headphones. Representing the series, various derivative models such as limited color editions, wireless models, and models with microphones have been released. The build quality is robust, but it's surprisingly light, and its foldable structure also offers great portability.
Points to note when fitting the cover:
1. Insert the rubber band of the cover into the gap
It's recommended to insert the rubber band part of the cover between the ear pad and the housing. (※ Please refer to the attachment photo above.)
There's a seam on the rubber band of the cover which makes it a bit thick and hard to insert. Insert the other parts first, and then push in the seamed part at the end.
Although this test was conducted with a 2014 model, during tests of recent limited-color models, the ear pads were slightly thicker, making it hard to fit the rubber band. If the gap between your ear pad and housing is too narrow to insert the rubber band, refrain from forcing it in and instead secure it on the side of the ear pad.
2. Set the direction of the cover vertically
This cover has different stretchabilities vertically and horizontally, with the vertical direction stretching better. Since this headphone has vertically elongated ear pads, fitting the cover vertically (the direction it stretches better) improves the fit.
To set the cover vertically, align the seam of the rubber band with the top (or bottom) of the cup. This way, the direction of the cover can be set vertically.
