This headphone is positioned as a mid-range model among SONY's wired headphones. Despite its orthodox structure, it boasts a refined texture and design, with features like a smoothly operating slider adding to its premium feel. Moreover, the curve of the headband, the angle of the fork part, and the positioning of the cables behind the ears are ingeniously designed, resulting in a very stylish look when worn. The ear pads are soft and offer a comfortable fit due to their gentle pressure. The sound produced by the newly developed 40mm driver is extremely natural and transparent, yet gentle, making for a listening experience that is not easily fatiguing. This can be considered one of the iconic wired headphones from the company, deserving its place in history.
Tips for attaching the cover:
1. Orient the cover vertically
This cover has different elasticity in the vertical and horizontal directions, with the vertical direction being more stretchy. Given the vertical elongation of this headphone's ear pads, it's recommended to align the cover in the vertical (more elastic) direction for a better fit.
To orient the cover vertically, position the seam of the cover's rubber band towards the top (or bottom) of the cup. This ensures that the cover is vertically aligned.
2. Stretch before attaching
Before putting on the headphones after attaching the cover, press the fabric of the cover into the inside of the ear pad to stretch it. This weakens the tension of the cover, improving its fit. If you feel a sense of pressure on your ears due to the cover, give this a try.
